I’m always recommending the Zeitgeist movies<\/a>, and it just occurred to me that I don’t think I’ve done so on this blog.<\/p>\n

Why do I recommend them?\u00a0 Well, if you’re only reading this because you think my bands “rock”,\u00a0 then it may not interest you, and you might just want to skip this particular post.\u00a0 But if you’re here because you’re a fellow Psychanaut, or someone concerned about where our “civilization”\u00a0 is at present, or if you’re\u00a0 concerned about politics and consciousness, or, as Terence McKenna said “the opportunities of our dilemma<\/a>” — watch these movies.\u00a0 I think you’ll love them.<\/p>\n

When you watch it, you may just be feeling like “I already know this” – and often, you do.\u00a0 The first half details everything that’s f*cked up: our environment, corporatism, power structures, organized religion, mindless consumerism, etc.\u00a0 But the second half is amazing.<\/em>\u00a0 These movies have nothing to do with “entertainment” and everything to do with our evolution as individuals, as a society, and as a species.\u00a0 At the time of this writing there are three movies, and I think the third “Zeitgeist:Moving Forward” is the best yet.<\/p>\n

It devotes a decent amount of time to the ideas of futurist Jaques Fresco, who at 90+ years appears to be unstoppable.<\/p>\n
